Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes, along with Krauss, were amongst the earliest Grammy Award-winners. Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer, songwriter and bluegrass musician. Her birth date was the 23rd of July 1971. She began her career in the industry in the early years, having won local competitions at when she was 10 years old and recording for the first time at the age of 14. She was signed in 1985 with Rounder Records. Her first solo album was released in 1987. The band invited her to join the band with who she continues to perform Alison Krauss and Union Station and later released her first album in the group in 1989.
